Coffee Collagen & Protein Oh My!
Adding protein powder to coffee can be helpful—especially for someone who would normally have only coffee for breakfast.
A complete protein, such as whey, provides the essential amino acids needed for muscle maintenance.
Collagen, on the other hand, provides useful amino acids and may support skin, joints and connective tissue, but it is not a complete protein and should not be considered a replacement for breakfast. The body digests collagen into amino acids and peptides and uses them wherever they are needed; it does not simply send the collagen directly to your skin or joints.
Both protein powder and Collagen can have a place in your morning routine, the key is understanding what each provides, and choosing the one that best meets your needs
